20-foot standard container

Container of general purpose. (ISO 1496/1): Totally enclosed, dust- and waterproof with rigid roof, rigid side walls, rigid end walls; there are doors at least in one end wall; designed to transport and store a wide range of goods.

40-foot standard container

40-foot high cube container (extended capacity)

20-foot Open Top container

Open top container [ISO 1496/1]: Container analogous in all respects to a container of general-purpose, except that it has no rigid roof but can have flexible extension-type or removable jacket made for example of canvas or plastic or armor-clad plastic material and supported as a rule by tip-up or removable roof beams. Such containers can have tip-up or removable upper cross members above their end doors.

40-foot Open Top container

20-foot Flatrack container

Container has no side walls but has the same basis as a platform-container. This general term is applicable to any universal container without rigid side walls or substitutive frames able to withstand all loads which a side wall of the container of general purpose can carry or transmit. Therefore such container has a bed frame analogous to the frame of a platform-container.

40-foot Flatrack container

20-foot refrigerated container

Refrigerated container with machine cooling: thermally insulated container has a refrigeration installation (mechanical compressor, absorption unit etc.).

40-foot refrigerated container

20-foot airtight container

Airtight containers are widely used in commerce to transport goods requiring constant temperature during all transportation time.

20-foot ventilated container

Ventilated container has analogous dimensions as a 20-foot standard container. Such containers are supplied with a natural or mechanical ventilation system; they are designed to transport goods requiring special transportation conditions as ensuring access of air and removal of condensate and non-hazardous fumes from an airtight container.
